Ten Students at 'Tatev' Educational Complex Exhibit Symptoms of Intestinal Infection, Two Hospitalized

On the evening of November 23, the director of the 'Tatev' Educational Complex reported to the hot line of the Republic of Armenia's Food Safety Inspection Body that ten students exhibited symptoms typical of an intestinal infection, including nausea and vomiting.

At 21:20, two children from the mentioned educational complex sought medical assistance at the National Center for Infectious Diseases and were subsequently hospitalized.

Immediately following the director's report, inspectors from the Food Safety Inspection Body carried out monitoring measures at the 'Tatev' Educational Complex and discovered that the children had eaten Caesar and vinaigrette salads, as well as a chicken and lavash dish at school.

During the epidemiological investigation, samples were taken for laboratory testing from drinking water, available food products, and surfaces that came into contact with food. The work is ongoing.
