Armenian Side Reports Casualty and Wounded Soldiers, Says Geghamasar Mayor

Reports are circulating in the Armenian online space regarding gunfire directed at Armenian positions located in the Norabaku community today, stating that in addition to one fatality, there are also wounded soldiers on the Armenian side.

The information was confirmed by Geghamasar community leader Hakob Avetyan, who told Sputnik Armenia that the firefight in Gegharkunik resulted in one death and additional injuries on the Armenian side.

"I cannot provide an exact number of casualties, but there are injuries. The Azerbaijanis fired deliberately in the direction of Norabaki. The shooting did not last long,” Avetyan stated.

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia has released a statement confirming the death of a conscript due to Azerbaijani gunfire, but no information is available regarding possible injuries.
