Three soldiers killed in battles on November 16 in Syunik awarded posthumous medals
The President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has signed decrees to posthumously award medals to three soldiers who were killed in the battles on November 16.
According to the President's decrees, Junior Sergeant Meruzhan Arthur Harutyunyan, the commander of a unit from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, and Junior Sergeant Gurgen Ashoti Sargsyan have been awarded the Medal of Courage for their bravery and selfless dedication while defending the borders of their homeland. Additionally, Senior Lieutenant Taron Jivani Sahakyan, a military psychologist, has been awarded the Combat Service Medal.
All decisions were made based on a proposal from the Prime Minister of Armenia.
