Negotiation Police Service to Be Established in the Police Department
The Police Department of Armenia will implement a negotiation police service. This was reported by the police, indicating that from November 15 to 19, an OSCE expert delegation was in Armenia to discuss the prospects and methods of implementing these principles.
According to the statement, the role of the negotiation police service will be to conduct effective negotiations during mass events to strengthen cooperation and trust between the police and the community.
During meetings with the OSCE delegation, heads of police units presented their service functions to the experts concerning the conduct of mass events and the maintenance of public order and safety.
Based on the results of the visit, OSCE experts will develop a training program aimed at facilitating the implementation of negotiation police principles in Armenia.
