Hayk Sargsyan was near the former MP's house on the day of the murder waiting for 'Tuy'.
The 'Zhoghovurd' newspaper reports that on November 11, gunshots were heard in one of the private houses in Kanaker, resulting in the deaths of four individuals, while three others were hospitalized with various bodily injuries. Among the deceased was the criminal authority from Kanaker, Tuy — Arthur Ghazaryan, and the former Member of Parliament, 61-year-old Artush Simonian. Among the injured is the son of the deceased former MP, Vladimir Simonian. It’s worth noting that the gunshots were fired right at the former MP's house.
A petition to detain the three sons of the murdered MP had been submitted to the court, which the court approved on Sunday. However, there are quite intriguing circumstances surrounding this case that give rise to serious conclusions. Specifically, according to information we received, on the night of November 11, the criminal authority Arthur Ghazaryan, also known as Tuy, was not the only one near the former MP Artush Simonian's house; MP Hayk Sargsyan was also present.
There are reports that the government-affiliated MP Hayk Sargsyan was waiting in his car outside the former MP Simonian's house for the criminal authority Tuy, but when gunshots were heard, he disappeared from the scene. Furthermore, according to information we obtained, he was helped to leave Armenia after the incident.
We tried to personally verify this information with Hayk Sargsyan, but he did not respond in any way to our phone calls and messages, and we could not learn whether he was indeed with Tuy in Kanaker on the day of the incident and why. We should add that Hayk Sargsyan did not participate in the parliamentary sessions that commenced yesterday.
