The National Assembly Has Two New Deputies: Only One Took the Oath, While the Other Boycotted the Session

The National Assembly of Armenia now has two new deputies. On November 16, National Assembly President Alen Simonyan announced the appointment of Aspuram Krpeyan from the "Hayastan" alliance and Mikael Tumasyan from the "Civil Contract" party based on two protocols from the CEC.

"The newly elected deputies must take an oath according to the regulations of the National Assembly. Ms. Krpeyan apparently is not yet a deputy, as she is currently absent from the hall and has not taken the oath. Mr. Tumasyan, please come to the podium," said Alen Simonyan.

Mikael Tumasyan recited the oath text from the National Assembly podium. It is worth noting that former deputy Mher Sedrakyan’s son, Davit Sedrakyan, had previously renounced his parliamentary mandate from the "Hayastan" faction, leading to Goris Mayor Arush Arushanyan, who also stated he was refusing the mandate. Consequently, the mandate was assigned to the next candidate on their alliance list, Aspuram Krpeyan.

Meanwhile, from the Civil Contract faction, Nazeli Baghdasaryan was recently appointed as the Governor of Shirak Province, and her mandate was passed to Mikael Tumasyan.
