Since November 14, 'AZAL' Has Used Armenian Airspace 18 Times: Hetq
Since November 14, Azerbaijan has initiated military operations against Armenia's sovereign territory using various types of weaponry, including armored vehicles, while capturing several combat positions within the Republic of Armenia. The Armenian side has sustained losses; the Ministry of Defense has not yet clarified the number of casualties and injuries, but it is known that 12 soldiers from the Armenian Armed Forces have been taken captive.
Against this backdrop, the enemy state's national airline, 'AZAL,' has been actively conducting flights on the Baku-Nakhchivan-Baku route, utilizing Armenian airspace. Up to this point, there is no information regarding the Armenian side's prohibition of the Azerbaijani airline's entry into Armenia, as reported by Hetq.am.
Since November 14, when the enemy began its military aggression towards Armenia's eastern border, effectively aiming to use force to open a corridor from the Lachin and Kelbajar regions to Nakhchivan, 'AZAL' has continued its uninterrupted flights over our skies and is making three flights daily on the Baku-Nakhchivan-Baku route. This means that considering the planes cross Armenian airspace each time when departing Baku to Nakhchivan and returning, 'AZAL' has used Armenian airspace 18 times from November 14 to the present moment.
This evening's final flight (flight number J2 256) was supposed to be on the Nakhchivan-Baku return route; however, according to flight tracking site flightradar24.com, 'AZAL's' passenger Airbus A320 first departed from Nakhchivan in a different direction.
