On November 2, I Sent an Unpublished Letter to Nikol Pashinyan via Special Communication: Marukyan
Discussing the legal framework for security cooperation with the Russian Federation, the "Enlightened Armenia" faction concluded during the 44-day war that addressing Russia was more expedient based on the provisions of the agreement on the Joint Group of Forces of Armenia and Russia signed in Moscow on November 30, 2016. This was stated by Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the "Enlightened Armenia" party, on his Facebook page.
"I would like to inform that at the stage when it was discussed what legal treaty base we have with Russia in the field of security cooperation and that citing the agreement would be politically more beneficial for us to appeal to the President of Russia, on November 2, I sent an unpublished letter to Nikol Pashinyan via special communication, suggesting to appeal to the President of Russia based on the provisions of the agreement signed on November 30, 2016, detailing why the application of this agreement would be advantageous for us," he wrote and published photographs of the letter.
