Video: One Driver Strikes Pedestrian, Another Driver Hits the Same Pedestrian
The Investigation Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case in the traffic offenses investigation department of the Yerevan city branch, based on Articles 242 (Part 2) and 244 (Part 1) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. The case involves an incident that occurred on November 13, 2021, where a 59-year-old driver of a 'BYD' vehicle struck a pedestrian on G. Nzhdeh Street in Yerevan, and then another driver subsequently struck the same pedestrian.
According to the Investigation Committee, a forensic examination has been ordered for the deceased pedestrian's body at the scene of the incident. An instruction has been given to the investigative body.
As a result of the investigative actions taken, the driver of the second vehicle has been identified and arrested. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Notice: The suspect or accused in the alleged crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedure established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, through a legally binding court decision.
