The Direct Responsible for Yesterday's Incident is the Chief of the General Staff: Does He Have Nothing to Say? Tigran Abrahamyan
The MP of the National Assembly from the 'I Have Honor' faction, Tigran Abrahamyan, wrote on his Facebook page:
“Does the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces have nothing to say? I still do not know why the Minister of Defense resigned. There are, of course, many reasons, and he did not prioritize the sector, thus he was incapable of providing solutions. But the issue is that the direct responsible for yesterday's incident is the Chief of the General Staff, and under his tenure, I would like to remind you that we also suffered larger scale territorial losses in May of this year. Precisely under the conditions of the inaction of the Chief of the General Staff, due to the lack of engineering/fortification works on the front line and the failure to establish proper combat duty, the enemy was able to penetrate up to 3.8 km deep in various sectors from Syunik to Gegharkunik.
It is repeated, there were so many grounds for dismissing Arshak Karapetyan that he could have been dismissed for a month, day by day with different justifications, but that does not change the Chief of the General Staff's indifference towards his service and irresponsible stance towards the borders. Indeed, I do not think that Pashinyan will tolerate this Chief of General Staff for long; when the time comes, they will judge, imprison, or exile him (it is not excluded that all three will happen together), but that will not be an excuse for him to evade responsibility in other matters. Gentlemen officers, generals, those who still do not understand, rest assured. For this authority, your life and fate are of no value; they are ready to betray you, leave you alone at the border, just so their power does not shake, and their personal well-being is not harmed.”
