Iran's President Makes Statement on Relations with Ankara and Baku
We must not allow foreign entities to disrupt the relations between Tehran, Ankara, and Baku. This was stated by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi during a meeting with Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, as he spoke in favor of joint cooperation for stability and the development of trade relations in the South Caucasus, according to the Mehr news agency.
The Iranian President noted that Tehran has deep and longstanding religious and cultural ties with Azerbaijan and Turkey, and that close relations would be beneficial for the peace and stability of the region. He emphasized that both countries should finalize the roadmap for strengthening their ties.
President Raisi also stated that regional cooperation between the two countries should be transformed into international collaboration, and such cooperation could be effective on global platforms, given the significant positions both countries hold.
