Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Yerevan: BMW Strikes Pedestrian Crossing in Unauthorized Area

Today, on November 15, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 22:40, 26-year-old Sargis Petrosyan struck a pedestrian with his BMW in front of the building at 23 Erebuni Street, while the pedestrian was crossing in an unauthorized area.

According to Shamshyan.com, bystanders at the scene, who refused to speak on camera, stated: “The incident happened, and the ambulance arrived in a short time, we can say in 1-2 minutes. The doctors did everything they could to save his life, but it was in vain. The pedestrian remained unconscious and died.”

The driver did not flee the scene. A criminal case has been opened under Article 242, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. Shortly after, police determined that the deceased was an 83-year-old resident of Yerevan, Lida P.
