Former MP Released From Custody

The Court of Appeals of Armenia, presided by Judge Alexander Azaryan, has decided to release former Prosperous Armenia Party MP Janibek Hayrapetyan from custody. This was announced by his lawyer Rafael Amirxan in a post on Facebook.

"The Court of Appeals of Armenia, under the just leadership of Judge Alexander Azaryan, granted the appeal, overturned the decision of the First Instance Court, and released Janibek Hayrapetyan from detention. In the end, justice prevailed, and Mr. Azaryan once again proved what the true mission of a Judge is— to deliver genuine justice," he wrote.

Janibek Hayrapetyan was accused under Article 112, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (deliberately inflicting bodily harm or causing serious injury to another person's health).
