The Armenia Alliance Issues a Statement

The Armenia Alliance has issued a statement: "The symbol of defeat, the ruling power, has made yet another agreed concession. The Goris-Kapan road has been completely taken under the control of Azerbaijan. The capitulator claimed that we would always be able to move freely along that road. The public was deceived once again. Now, they are talking about an alternative route.

As long as this regime is in power, such disgraceful concessions are expected every day. The person occupying the position of Prime Minister no longer makes any decisions. Decisions are being made by Azerbaijan on his behalf. Not only is the adversary physically present in Armenia's sovereign territory, but they are also establishing customs and border control points. This government is incapable of resisting Azerbaijan.

But we will not reconcile ourselves to this. In fact, the regime's agenda to open an era of peace in the region signifies the loss of Armenia's sovereignty. What has happened poses a direct threat to the security of our compatriots in the Syunik region, as well as to Armenia's defense capabilities. This also carries serious and uncontrollable economic risks.

Dear compatriots, the alternative to the current disastrous situation is not war, as they are trying to present. The alternative is a dignified peace and the formation of a new government that will defend national-state interests. We have initiated a nationwide resistance against the disastrous policies of the government. The current challenge is to strengthen this resistance, to work daily and organize continuous actions. We will not be discouraged by pressure or violence from law enforcement agencies; we will go to the end. Syunik will not be conceded, Artsakh will not be depopulated, and Armenia will not be Turkified.

Armenia will be a sovereign state, and the Armenian people will once again live in a just, strong country."
