Monument Unveiled in Yeraskh for Russian Officers Killed by Azerbaijan's 'Accidental' Helicopter Strike

A monument has been unveiled in Yeraskh for the Russian officers who were killed by an ‘accidental’ strike from Azerbaijan. This was reported by Armenpress.

“This tragic incident, which the Azerbaijani side refers to as an ‘accident,’ occurred in a location outside the conflict zone of Nagorno-Karabakh, where no military clashes had been recorded during that time. And today we are present at the opening of a memorial that immortalizes the memory of pilot Major Yuri V. Ishchuk and Senior Lieutenant Roman V. Fedin, two dedicated soldiers who lost their lives while fulfilling allied commitments to ensure the security of the Republic of Armenia,” stated Hovhannes Harutyunyan, the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia. He expressed his condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased.
