Details of Shooting Incidents in Khachik and Shushi Transferred to Russian Side
The information regarding the shooting incident by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces towards the village of Khachik in the Areni community has been conveyed to the Russian side for the purpose of a proper and objective joint investigation to assess the situation. This was reported by the prosecutor's office, providing more details about the incident that occurred in Khachik.
It is noted that yesterday, on November 9, around 2:30 PM, the Azerbaijani gunfire was targeted at the village of Khachik, shattering the rear and side windows of a civilian tractor operated by a local resident engaged in agricultural work. At the time of the shooting, the resident was inside the tractor.
“Azerbaijani soldiers fired towards the tractor of local resident T. Asatryan, who was working in the area known as 'Duz' in the administrative territory of Khachik. As a result of the gunfire, the left window of the tractor was broken. However, the perpetrators were unable to complete their crime, as T. Asatryan was able to take cover inside the tractor and was not injured,” the prosecutor's office stated.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 34-104, Part 2, Point 13 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (murder).
The prosecutor's office also reported that materials concerning a shooting incident by an Azerbaijani military serviceman towards four civilians working on the repair of a water pipe in an area known as 'under Shushi' on the Shushi-Berdzor road in Artsakh have been provided to the Russian side.
Recall that on November 8, at around 3:00 PM, the Azerbaijani side fired shots at civilians conducting construction work on water supply pipes near an intersection close to the entrance of Shushi town in the Republic of Artsakh, resulting in injuries to four civilians, one of whom was killed and three others wounded.
