Has Money Been Distributed in Marzpets' Offices Before Elections?
It turns out that local self-government elections will be held in all regions of Armenia by the end of the year. Ahead of the voting scheduled for December 5 in the Lori region, governor Aram Khachatryan issued a decision on November 4 to distribute 815,000 AMD as financial aid to 21 families in the area. According to 168.am, the amount distributed to each family ranges from 20,000 to 50,000 AMD.
Local self-government elections will also take place on December 5 in the communities of Yeghegnadzor, Vayk, and Jermuk in the Vayots Dzor region. In this region, governor Ararat Grigoryan announced on October 27 that financial one-time aid was distributed amounting to 3 million AMD for 61 families.
It is worth noting that, earlier, 168.am reported that ahead of the local self-government elections held on October 17 in the Shirak region, governor Hovhannes Harutyunyan had made a decision on October 1 to allocate financial assistance in the city of Gyumri. Accordingly, 1.7 million AMD was distributed to 48 families, 42 of whom were residents of Gyumri, while 6 were from other communities.
