Yerevan State University Council Meeting Declared Illegal by Lecturer

Yerevan State University lecturer Menua Soghomonyan posted on his Facebook page: “A meeting of the Board of Trustees is currently taking place at YSU, which is illegal. The Administrative Court of Appeal overturned the administrative court's decision to reject the application, which means that my submitted application is considered accepted, and the government’s decision proposing amendments to the YSU charter is suspended. From this moment, the appointment of Hovhannes Hovhannisyan as acting rector is illegal, and moreover, he does not even have the right to be nominated for this position. The formation of the YSU Board of Trustees is also illegal, as is the ongoing meeting.”
