Protests Held in Georgia in Support of Saakashvili
Today, supporters of former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili held two rallies across Georgia – one near the prison in Rustavi where he is being held, and another in the city of Zugdidi. This was reported by РИА Новости, referencing the Mtavari Arkhi television channel.
“Hundreds of people are speaking out in front of the prison walls, expressing their support for the former president. They have stated that demonstrations near the prison will be held daily until the political figure is released,” the media outlet notes.
Additionally, it is reported that the politician's supporters are also staging a large-scale rally in the center of Zugdidi.
