We Have Made It So That There Is Not Much Consumption During the New Year Holidays: Vahan Kerobyan
We are very concerned about inflation, which is a global phenomenon, with unprecedented inflation present in all countries. This was stated by the Minister of Economy, Vahan Kerobyan, in a conversation with reporters.
As for how the government plans to curb inflation, the Minister explained: “We have made it so that there isn’t much consumption during the holidays. You know, we have proposed amendments to the holiday law so that people can have a smoother festive period and consumption does not peak heavily in December,” said Kerobyan.
The Minister clarified that inflation is also due to the fact that factories around the world were closed during the COVID pandemic, and now, as demand has been restored, there is a significant gap between demand and supply for many products globally, meaning that supply is lower than demand.
