Gegham Gevorgyan on Inflation
The head of the Public Services Regulatory Commission, Gegham Gevorgyan, addressed journalists regarding the widespread rise in food prices, stating that the commission has no relation to inflation; that is the function of another body. He noted, 'Price increases can concern us in two cases: when there is a dominant market actor and if there is an anti-competitive agreement. We have conducted studies in several markets. We have published findings on abuses in the egg market, and we are conducting a study on the gasoline market and the sugar market. The next market we will be investigating is the butter market,' the official said.
