Goris-Kapan Highway is Very Safe, Says NSS Deputy Director
The Deputy Director of the National Security Service (NSS) assured journalists today that everything is normal in Pailasar. He stated, "There are no changes in Pailasar. The commander of the border troops was here the day before and answered questions. We have no changes there."
He also confirmed that the Goris-Kapan highway is very safe, saying, "Yes, it is safe. I came the other day, and it is very safe. Admittedly, representatives of the neighboring state are stationed there, but in general, they do not stop Armenian citizens."
In response to questions about how the situation in Pailasar remains unchanged if there are numerous claims that Russian troops have descended from the heights, and how the Goris-Kapan highway can be considered safe if Azerbaijani forces stopped a vehicle belonging to an Armenian citizen a few days ago, insulted the driver, and hit their car, Aram Hakobyan answered in one sentence: "I am not aware."
He also stated that he had not seen the video involving the mentioned citizen. In response to journalists' comments that he was urged not to speak, he simply replied, "No one can urge me not to speak" before leaving without responding to any other questions.
