Delay of the 2nd Vaccine Dose Not Allowed: New Anti-Pandemic Regulations Effective November 1
Starting from November 1, new anti-pandemic regulations related to the coronavirus will come into effect. This was stated by Romella Abovyan, head of the Epidemiology Department for Infectious and Non-Infectious Diseases at the Ministry of Healthcare, in an interview with the government’s press service.
"Citizens who work and have been vaccinated with the first dose, if they violate the time frame between the first and second doses, must present a negative PCR test result to their employer," Abovyan stated.
According to her, there is also a discussion regarding entrance to entertainment venues with a QR code or a PCR result. There is currently no talk of a lockdown.
According to Abovyan, it is not excluded that starting December 1, unvaccinated citizens who contract the coronavirus may have to cover their treatment costs themselves. She added that a draft of the restrictions is already prepared and will be circulated soon.
The specialist also noted that according to EU standards, Armenia is in the dark red zone because the incidence rate in the country is 888, instead of the border limit of 500.
