Which Country Still Dominates with 20-Year-Old Windows XP, Surpassing Windows 10 and Windows 11

There is one country where the 20-year-old Windows XP still reigns supreme, significantly outperforming both Windows 10 and Windows 11. And it’s not Russia. Recently, the legendary Windows XP operating system turned 20. Despite its respectable age, its market share among other Windows versions is still very noticeable. According to Statcounter statistics, as of September 2021, Windows XP holds a market share of 0.59%, surpassing the much younger but less popular Windows Vista at 0.26%. Windows 10's market share stands at 79.84%.

However, the WinFuture resource highlights the fact that there is one country where Windows XP holds a dominant position, nearly doubling the market share of the modern Windows 10 and forcing the latest Windows 11 to retreat. This country turned out to be Armenia. According to Statcounter statistics, as of September 2021, Windows XP accounts for 53.5% of the operating system market in Armenia, while Windows 10 holds 32.8%. In third place is Windows 7, which has an 11.97% share, followed by Windows 8.1 with 1.53%. Windows 8 stands at 0.17%, and Windows Vista at 0.03%.
