Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan Meets with Leaders of Extra-Parliamentary Political Forces

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the regular meeting of the consultative assembly for cooperation with leaders of extra-parliamentary political forces. Present at the meeting were Aram Sargsyan, President of the Republican Party, Samvel Babayan, Leader of the Liberal Party, Tigran Arzakantsyan, Representative of the Alliance Progressive Centrist Party, Norair Norikyan, Leader of the Just Armenia Party, David Sanasaryan, Leader of the Sovereign Armenia Party, Tigran Khzmalyan, Leader of the European Party of Armenia, Levon Shirinyan, President of the Christian Democratic Party of Armenia, Mher Terteryan, President of the United Fatherland Party, Mikael Hayrapetyan, Leader of the Conservative Party, and Sedrak Ajemyan, Secretary of the Social Democratic Hunchakian Party of Armenia.

Pashinyan welcomed the participants of the meeting, stating, “This is our fourth meeting in this format, and I believe we can say at this point that we value it as a platform for conversation. The fact that we are present here today is perhaps evidence of that, and our upcoming task should probably be to make this platform more effective and crown its activities with concrete results. How successful we will be depends on us. Of course, there are no guarantees, but that is our goal.” At this moment, we have a very specific decision that three representatives of this format must be involved in the investigative committee examining the circumstances of the 44-day war,” Pashinyan emphasized, adding that solutions are currently being sought to organize this issue de jure. Pashinyan also added that the activities of the investigative committee will begin only after the preparatory work is completed.

Subsequently, the meeting participants proceeded to discuss agenda issues.
