50 Employees to Be Laid Off from the Prime Minister's Office

Cuts are planned in the Prime Minister's Office under the initiative of the Chief of Staff, Arayik Harutyunyan. According to governmental sources cited by the 'Pats' newspaper, there is a desire to rid 'undesirable' employees under the guise of optimization. Moreover, there are reports that some have already been informed of their termination effective January 3.

According to our sources, the cuts concern approximately 50 employees in total. A significant number among those being laid off are individuals with extensive years of service. Our information suggests that Harutyunyan's initiative is not particularly to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's liking. He has advised against rushing and to carefully consider such decisions before proceeding. However, Harutyunyan is doing everything he can to persuade the Prime Minister.

We attempted to confirm this information with the Prime Minister's Office, but we have not yet succeeded. We will also try again on Monday and will report back if we receive a response.
