To avoid becoming a hero of 'Haqqin.az', one must refrain from publishing unverified information, Deputy Minister

The criticism directed by the Ministry of Defense (MoD) towards the Human Rights Defender appeared on 'Haqqin.az' and similar sites. Don't you think it was an incorrect approach? This question was posed to Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan by MP Aram Vardevanyan from the 'Armenia' faction during a parliamentary session.

The opposition MP noted that the Human Rights Defender's statement was not criticism directed at the Ministry of Defense, but rather an assessment of the behavior of the adversary, the enemy. 'The formulations used there stem from Armenia's national and state interests. It is a fact that to this day, enemy servicemen who have committed international crimes have not been expelled from our territory,' said Aram Vardevanyan.

The Deputy Minister of Defense stated that there have been many cases of healthy cooperation with the Human Rights Defender, and there are grounds for such a response. 'The statement made by the Ministry of Defense is based on the information provided by soldiers serving in the field. The MoD requests to refrain from publishing unverified information. To avoid becoming a hero of 'Haqqin.az' or another site, it would be desirable to refrain from publishing unverified information,' said the Deputy Minister.
