Is It Difficult to Work Under the Prime Minister's Authority? Manukyan to Deputy Minister of Defense
Yesterday in the National Assembly, in response to a question from a member of parliament regarding when Armenia was aware that war could break out, Nikol Pashinyan stated that it was only 1-2 days before the war. He also mentioned that on December 16, 2020, he had asserted that the assessment until the very last day was that war would not start.
This was stated by Gegham Manukyan, a member of the 'Hayastan' faction, who directed a question to Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan: “Is it not difficult to work under the authority of a Prime Minister who changes his statements 180 degrees every minute?”
Arman Sargsyan responded that it is not difficult; in fact, it is very easy to work with Pashinyan. “I have also worked directly under authority, as the head of the police. I can say that it is not difficult; moreover, I consider it a historic opportunity to participate in the formation of the Republic of Armenia. I can say from my previous job that the police had complete freedom to operate without checking or verifying whether the political majority agreed, whether it would be liked or not. It acted with the logic of solving the critical issue of equality before the law for everyone,” said Arman Sargsyan.
“Your nerves are commendable,” Gegham Manukyan responded.
