Avanesyan Announced When We Will Observe a Certain Mitigation of Coronavirus Numbers

It is impossible to constantly impose lockdowns, and they cannot ultimately yield significant results. This was stated by Armenia's Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan during a conversation with journalists.

She noted that schools have had their breaks extended by one week for now, and the possibility of adding another week to the vacation period is being discussed, while universities have switched to online classes.

“This will certainly help us achieve a reduction in the virus's spread under conditions of reduced movement. In two weeks, we will observe a certain mitigation of the numbers,” the minister emphasized.

She underscored that the solution to overcoming the pandemic will be vaccinations.

Anahit Avanesyan urged that family members with pregnant individuals should certainly get vaccinated: “For family members who do not have contraindications, I urge them to get vaccinated as soon as possible,” said the minister.
