MPs Welcome Arthur Sargsyan with Applause
The National Assembly has commenced its next session. Ruben Rubinyan, the Vice President of the Assembly, approached the podium to present a draft decision regarding amendments to the agenda of the meetings. Just as he began to speak, Arthur Sargsyan, an MP from the 'Armenia' faction who had just been released from detention, entered the hall. Opposition MPs stood up and warmly welcomed their colleague with applause, which displeased the ruling party members. 'Please maintain silence in the hall,' responded the session's presiding Vice President, Hakob Arshakyan. After some commotion, silence was established in the chamber, and Rubinyan continued to present the issue.
