Kerobyan Proposes to Reduce New Year’s Non-Working Days in Parliament
The National Assembly is discussing a bill to amend the law on "Public Holidays and Commemoration Days in Armenia." It is proposed that only December 31, January 1, and January 6 be considered non-working days.
The bill was introduced by the Minister of Economy, Vahan Kerobyan, who began with a story about participating in the 44-day war with his brothers a year ago. He described how unprepared our country and nation were for that war and quoted several passages from a book he had at the time.
“Our proposed bill is not merely technical or economic. It is a civilizational project. There is a Chinese saying that goes, ‘There is no one who works 360 days of the year before dawn and does not make his family rich.’ We need to get to work,” concluded Vahan Kerobyan.
