Government Reminds: Sale of Plastic Bags Will Be Prohibited from January 1

Starting January 1, the sale of plastic bags will be legally prohibited in Armenia. Experts urge the use of reusable bags.
The press service of the Armenian government reminds that starting January 1, the sale of plastic bags less than 50 microns thick will no longer be offered at retail points across the country. Only bags intended for weight packaging without handles will be permitted. Bags made from secondary raw materials will not be banned as well.
