Explosion in Yerevan: Deputy Director of Open Joint-Stock Company Hospitalized
The investigative department of the Shengavit police department is preparing materials on an extraordinary incident that occurred in Yerevan on October 21.
According to Shamshyan.com, around 12:55 PM on that day, an unknown citizen called the police operational management center, reporting that a stone had fallen on a citizen at 37 Sharuri Street. While Shengavit police were verifying the authenticity of the report, the Shengavit Medical Center notified the police that a citizen had arrived seeking medical assistance with a diagnosis of "lacerated wounds to the upper third of the face and facial contusion."
The police determined that the injured individual is 67-year-old Sergey Jaghinyan, a resident of Yerevan. It was revealed that earlier that day, around 12:40 PM, an explosion occurred during a test of a grenade detonator in the experimental laboratory of the "Electron" Open Joint-Stock Company, causing injuries to Jaghinyan. According to reports, Jaghinyan serves as the deputy director for technology at the mentioned company.
