Russia Seeks Clarification from Turkey Regarding Arrests of Russians

Moscow is closely monitoring the situation surrounding the arrests of several Russians in Turkey. This was reported by РИА Новости.

"We are carefully following the situation related to the arrests in Istanbul and Antalya, as well as the subsequent detention of several citizens of the Russian Federation. The Russian diplomatic missions have officially contacted the Turkish side to obtain necessary clarifications," the Foreign Ministry stated.

The ministry added that "relevant inquiries have been forwarded through the Russian Embassy in Ankara, as well as through the Consulates General in Istanbul and Antalya."

"We are in contact with the Turkish authorities to clarify all the circumstances of this case. We are eagerly awaiting information from our Turkish partners on this topic as soon as possible," the Russian Foreign Ministry noted.
