New details emerge about the murder in Dalar village and the subsequent vendetta; arrests made.
Officers from the Criminal Police Department of the Republic of Armenia, along with the regional police department of Ararat and police divisions of Artashat, Masis, and Ararat, have identified and detained several residents of Dalar village, Ararat region, on hot tracks.
According to Shamshyan.com, those detained include 29-year-old Edgar Petrosyan, 47-year-old Artak Petrosyan, and 49-year-old Vardan Petrosyan, who were subsequently presented to the Ararat regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
The suspects are believed to have intentionally set fire to the home of 20-year-old Seryozha Simonian around 12:15 PM on October 16. On the same day, Simonian was found by police under suspicion for the murder of 30-year-old Gevorg Petrosyan, also a resident of Dalar village.
Upon learning who the suspected murderer was, Vardan Petrosyan and 39-year-old Grigor Petrosyan, along with around ten others, approached the home of Simonian, where several officers from the Artashat police division were on guard. Ignoring the legal demands of the police, they broke the windows of the house and then set it on fire.
Emergency services from the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene of the fire promptly after a call, but at one point, even the firefighters were obstructed from approaching the area. However, after the arrival of additional police forces, firefighters were able to do their job, although most of the household belongings were reduced to ashes.
According to the photographer's information, Edgar and Artak Petrosyan have been arrested by the investigator, while Vardan Petrosyan, known in the village as 'Figaro,' has been released on a signature.
Police and investigators have already identified the individual who committed the arson: 31-year-old Gor Petrosyan, also a resident of the village. Necessary operational-investigative measures are underway to identify and locate Gor Petrosyan, as well as all individuals involved in the incident.
