Why Has Azerbaijan Again Resort to Provocations?

Azerbaijan Postvakhtum's Telegram channel has addressed the border situation in Artsakh and the border incident that occurred yesterday.

The publication specifically notes:

“Why has Azerbaijan again resorted to provocations? Several reasons can be identified:

• First and foremost, this is aimed at discrediting the mandate of the Russian peacekeeping forces, thereby creating fertile ground for non-ratification and the subsequent withdrawal from Artsakh. Evidence of this is the official statement from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, which, of course, blames the Armenians again, but the existing formulations are noteworthy: 'In Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily deployed, there has been a shooting between illegal Armenian armed formations...'
• The court hearings that took place today in The Hague were evidently unfavorable for the Azerbaijani side.
• Furthermore, the meeting of the CIS foreign ministers was quite heated.
• Yesterday and the day before, there was a dispute at Azerbaijani positions, which resulted in gunfire, leading to the deaths of two Azerbaijani servicemen. Of course, it was impossible to conceal their deaths, thus a slight provocation was necessary to shift the blame for these casualties onto the Armenians.”
