Despite Today's Provocation, The Situation at the Artsakh-Azerbaijan Border Remains Stable: Spokesperson for the President of Artsakh
The situation at the Artsakh-Azerbaijan border throughout the day has remained stable, excluding the provocation recorded in the northeastern direction during the morning. This was stated in a conversation with NEWS.am by Lusine Avanesyan, the press secretary of the President of the Republic of Artsakh.
“According to my information, the situation along the Artsakh-Azerbaijan contact line has been stable today, excluding the provocation recorded this morning in the northeastern direction. However, for more detailed information, I kindly ask you to contact the Defense Army,” Avanesyan noted.
Efforts to contact the Defense Army for informational purposes were unsuccessful.
The Artsakh Defense Army reported in the morning that on October 15, around 09:00, divisions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire towards a medical vehicle of the Defense Army positioned in northeastern Artsakh. There were no casualties on the Armenian side.
“The command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Artsakh has been notified regarding the incident. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Artsakh states that it continues to adhere to the ceasefire regime and calls on the Azerbaijani side to also refrain from actions that may destabilize the situation,” the Artsakh Defense Army reported.
