Lava Flow Continues on La Palma Island After Volcanic Eruption, Approximately 800 Evacuated
Authorities on La Palma Island, part of the Canary Islands, have ordered the evacuation of up to 800 people due to the continuous flow of lava from a volcano, according to El Pais.
Since the eruption began on September 19, the total number of people forced to leave the island has reached 6,800. Emergency services have advised evacuees to take their most important belongings and pets with them.
