Erdogan Loses in Talks with Putin, Davutoglu Says
The issues present in Syria indicate a defeat for Turkish President Erdogan in negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This opinion was expressed by Ahmet Davutoglu, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs and later Prime Minister of Turkey, in an interview with the Turkish Halk TV channel, as reported by Ermenihaber.am.
“If things are not going well in Syria, if there is a problem in Syria, it means that the esteemed President Erdogan has lost something at the table where he sat with Putin in Sochi. The Syrian regime would not move without Putin's green light,” emphasized Ahmet Davutoglu.
He also addressed Turkey's domestic issues, noting that Tayyip Erdogan, by frequently talking about the September 28 coup, aims to cover up his corruption and instill fear among the public with the principle of ‘after me, the flood.’
