David Tonoyan's Legal Team Issues Statement
Mr. Tonoyan does not accept the charges brought against him and will not accept them under any circumstance, as he is accused of committing an act that he did not perform.
After being relieved of his duties as Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Tonoyan refrained from making comments, considering state secrets, national security, and interstate relations. Even today, Mr. Tonoyan prioritizes these interests over his own and, possessing a significant amount of information, does not utilize it in the public domain for his defense.
Mr. Tonoyan is confident that the results of expert assessments conducted by individuals with specialized knowledge will provide substantiated and impartial answers to the allegations regarding the 'low-quality' and 'non-compliant with technical standards' weapons and munitions of the Armenian Armed Forces.
Mr. Tonoyan will fight for justice, the restoration of his innocence, and the rehabilitation of his good reputation.
