Yerevan Turns 2803 Today: Mayor Discusses Plans in Place of Celebrations
Yerevan’s Mayor Haik Marutyan made a post on his Facebook page, stating: “Dear Yerevan residents, dear compatriots, today, as per tradition, we celebrate the Erebuni-Yerevan Day. You are already aware that this year, due to known circumstances, there will be no festive events. Instead, the budget allocated for these celebrations will be redirected towards the re-equipping of the Erebuni historical and archaeological reserve-museum and other cultural institutions, as well as housing construction programs currently underway in Artsakh.
However, we have quite good news in various sectors of urban life, completed achievements, and newly initiated programs. These relate to various areas of public life, including the development of urban infrastructure, culture, and especially transportation reforms. These programs will be presented to you in the coming weeks during the Yerevan Days.
Our thousand-year-old capital, the ever-green Yerevan, will continue to be a vanguard for the development and prosperity of our sweet homeland in all circumstances. I am confident that with this understanding, in the coming years, we will celebrate our city’s day.
Happy holiday, Yerevan!
