Citizens Have Taken to Protest
Former residents of Hadrut gathered again today in front of the Government building. The participants of the rally noted that they have been without a permanent residence for more than three months and are demanding that the governments of Armenia and Artsakh provide them with housing.
The purpose of the demonstration, according to attendees, is to understand what plans the authorities have regarding their future fate. Although they have had meetings with various officials on the matter, no concrete solutions have been provided.
The displaced residents of Hadrut are also concerned about their status. Winter is approaching, yet their housing issues remain unresolved. They have not received any assistance, and for the past two months, even the rent payments have been halted.
"They are neither providing the 68,000 dram payments nor the accommodation funds. They have said that they are considering new measures to continue the benefits, and a new program needs to be developed, of which we have no information," they expressed.
