Both Food and Safety: Bears Active in Shirak
For the past two months, bears have become active in the territory of the Arpi Lake National Park. Park officials note that they feel safe, which is why the bears have become more active.
One bear was spotted in the Akhuryan gorge section of the Arpi Lake National Park, while another was seen with her cubs in Ashotzk.
This morning, during another "tour" of bears in Mets Sepasar, they damaged 6-7 beehives. “We are happy that we have not suffered any human losses. The presence of bears indicates an increase in the quality of biodiversity in the area and a tranquil environment, which has activated the animals. The safe conditions have resulted from environmental monitoring,” said Musheg Muradyan, the director of the Arpi Lake National Park.
