Heavy Snowfall Observed in Some Areas, Drivers Urged to Be Vigilant

The Road Department is urging drivers to remain vigilant while traveling. The department has released a "snow-covered photo" on its Facebook page, announcing that snowfall began in several mountainous regions of the Republic from the second half of the day.

"In particular, heavy snowfall has been observed in the Chambrak region. The influx of Arctic cold air currents continues across the territory of the Republic. On October 6, temperatures will drop by another 5-6 degrees in all regions," the statement reads.

Precipitation is expected throughout the entire territory of Armenia, and in mountainous areas, as well as in the foothills of Lori, Tavush, and Syunik, precipitation will be in the form of wet snow.
