France May Recognize Nagorno-Karabakh, Says Paris Mayor

Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, who also ran as a candidate in the 2022 French presidential elections, announced on her Twitter page that France may recognize the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh.

“I fully agree with Bernard-Henri Lévy. France can recognize the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh,” Hidalgo wrote, sharing an article by the French philosopher in Le Point, which states that “our country must find the courage to support the attacked minority.” She considers it a political and moral imperative to support Armenia in the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
