Armenia Responds to Aliyev's Statements About Serzh Sargsyan

Eduard Sharmazanov, spokesperson for the Armenian Republican Party (ARF), wrote on his Facebook page: "After the recent speech of Armenia’s third president and ARF leader Serzh Sargsyan, both the anti-national circles in Armenia and the Azerbaijani leader, who has been repeatedly ‘slapped’ by President Sargsyan during the war and negotiations, have fallen into expected turmoil. The latter has forgotten how he complained in October 2016 about being pressured to recognize the independence of Artsakh."

"One who talks about 'desertion' is someone who not only was absent in the battlefield during the First Nagorno-Karabakh War but was also not present even in Azerbaijan, and who was defeated during the April War."

It should be noted that Aliyev had earlier stated, "I am in Mataghis, and if Serzhik has the courage, let him come here."
