Vrej Badalyan, Who Lost His Sight During the War, Expected to Become a Father: A Surprise from His Wife

Vrej Badalyan, who lost his sight during the 44-day war, is soon to become a father, according to Mamul.am. His wife, Kristine Poghosyan, shared the joyful news in a unique way by gifting him baby items. By feeling them, Vrej joyfully guessed that their happy family will soon be growing.

19-year-old Vrej Badalyan was injured twice on the battlefield. The first time was from a Grad rocket, injuring his hand, leg, and lung. Despite his injuries, he continued to fight until his comrades managed to get him into a vehicle to take him to Stepanakert, but on the way, the vehicle was hit by a drone strike. Vrej lost sight in his right eye, while the vision in his left eye can only be restored through surgery that is not performed in Armenia. He is from the village of Paruyr Sevak in the Ararat region.
