Mr. Tonoyan is my relative, my friend, and he cannot be involved in any corruption deal. This was stated by Vilen Gabrielian, a deputy of the ruling 'Civil Contract' faction, during an interview with journalists.

Gabrielian is convinced that the former Minister of Defense is innocent. 'However, if investigative actions are taking place, let the process show the outcome.'

When asked about the opinion of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan regarding the suspicions, the deputy replied, 'What opinion could Prime Minister Pashinyan have? Let the court determine its actions. Mr. Tonoyan is my relative, my friend, and cannot be involved in any corruption deal,' he noted.

It should be reminded that, according to the National Security Service's statement, former Minister of Defense David Tonoyan and David Galstyan, the director of the company supplying military ammunition for the needs of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, are suspected of embezzling 2,277,323,840 AMD and committing fraud and acts that pose a public danger.
