Iran's Foreign Minister Expresses Concern Over Azerbaijan's Actions
Iran's Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian expressed discontent during the acceptance of the credentials of Azerbaijan's newly appointed ambassador, Ali Alizadeh, regarding the improper treatment of Iranian drivers by Azerbaijani border guards and the detention of two drivers. As reported by Armenpress, citing the official website of Iran's Foreign Ministry, Abdollahian also described negative statements coming from the Azerbaijani side as surprising and regretful.
Abdollahian emphasized that conducting military exercises is the sovereign right of countries. Pointing to the activities of the Zionist regime near Iran's borders, he added, "Iran will not tolerate the presence and actions of the Zionist regime against its national security and will take any necessary measures in this regard." The ambassador, for his part, expressed hope that the recent incidents would be resolved through dialogue between officials of the two countries.
