YouTube Removes Two RT German Channels Without Recovery Option

YouTube has removed two of RT's German channels without the possibility of restoration. The information was shared by Margarita Simonyan, the editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and RT, on her Telegram channel.

"YouTube has just removed our two German channels without the possibility of restoration. This is a real media war that Germany has declared against Russia," Simonyan wrote in her Telegram post.

She emphasized that the RT DE YouTube channel ranks fourth in influence among German-language media, having had 21 million views in June 2021. Simonyan also reminded that earlier Luxembourg had denied RT a broadcasting license, citing the opinion of the German authorities.
